Business travel essentials: forgotten items that make all the difference

When travelling on business, apart from the usual items such as clothes, toiletries and work utensils, there are some often overlooked items that can prove extremely useful. Here are some tips that can help make your business trip more enjoyable and stress-free

  • Electronic essentials
  • For most people, a laptop, smartphone, chargers and cables are part of their basic equipment. But remember that in some countries, special adapters and voltage converters are required to connect your electronic devices and prevent damage. Portable chargers and power banks are also invaluable, especially on long journeys when sockets are scarce and the battery runs out just when you need it most or when there is no socket nearby. Don't forget USB sticks, hard drives, memory cards and batteries.

  • Small tools for your professional appearance But even the best and most modern technology is useless if you are not perfectly dressed for your business commitments. So make sure you also have a mini iron to ensure that you always look professional and "crease-free". Small scissors, a pocket knife and nail clippers are also essential. Because a label, a loose thread or other small mishaps can really drive you to despair.

  • First-aid kit 2.0 And as unfortunately nobody is immune to short-term inconveniences such as headaches, we recommend that in addition to the conventional first-aid kit in your suitcase, you also keep easily accessible medication in your wallet, for example. This way you have quick access to your most important medication at all times during the flight or transfer.

  • Sun or rain - you never know A small umbrella in your hand luggage can protect you from unexpected rain showers, while a rain jacket can be a good alternative. Also think about sun protection if you are travelling to sunny areas!

  • Goodies you should have with you Are you travelling late at night or in areas with poor lighting? A small torch can be very useful in these unexpected situations. And if, despite a tight schedule, you still want to have time to go shopping for your loved ones or just for yourself, an extra bag or rucksack can really come in handy. Want to relax on the train or in the hotel in the evening? Also think about headphones or even earplugs, especially if you are surrounded by noise.
This list is of course not exhaustive, but it can help to make your business trip more pleasant and less stressful. Do you have any other tips you would like to share? We are eager to hear your suggestions and look forward to hearing about your experiences!
