New business travel unit of suedwest touristik and NettReisen joins DERPART

In April 2025, suedwest touristik and NettReisen announced their strategic partnership - including the planned merger of their business travel divisions. The decision has now been made about the future franchise affiliation: The new, joint business unit of the two companies will join the DERPART franchise system and thus the DER BUSINESS Travel brand on 1 April 2026.

Prior to their merger, the two companies belonged to different franchise systems - NettReisen operated under the umbrella of DERPART, while the business travel division of suedwest touristik operated as a Lufthansa City Centre. After a thorough examination, the new company decided in favour of DER BUSINESS Travel. For the future managing directors Michael Jobst and Benedikt Weimann, the decisive factors for this decision were the strong DERPART network, modern technologies, the partnership-based culture, flexibility and the entrepreneurial room for manoeuvre. The clear plan for the future was also important.

Andreas Weber, Managing Director of DERPART, welcomes the new addition: "We are delighted with this decision. Anyone who wants to reposition themselves in business travel today needs a strong network, digital excellence and entrepreneurial freedom. The fact that the new business unit has chosen DERPART confirms our path - and strengthens our role as a reliable partner in the business travel market of tomorrow."

DERPART Supervisory Board Chairman Andreas Heimann adds: "The decision by suedwest touristik and NettReisen not only strengthens the DERPART network, but also emphasises the future viability of our business-focused model. As the Supervisory Board, we see this partnership as an important strategic impulse for the further expansion of our position in the business travel market."

suedwest touristik, one of the leading owner-managed travel agency groups in Germany, has held a stake in NettReisen GmbH since April 2025 and intends to continue its growth trajectory. NettReisen from Munich, managed by Christian Weimann and his son Benedikt Weimann, achieved a turnover of over 60 million euros in 2024 and is a major player in stationary sales. As part of the strategic realignment, suedwest touristik has integrated the leisure division of NettReisen and strengthened its regional presence in the south.

In the business travel sector, the business units of both companies merged to form a new organisation; their full merger is to be completed by the end of 2025. This has enabled volumes to be bundled and costs to be reduced.
