2 DER BUSINESS Travel Club: Interactive event for business travel professionals

Over 50 business travel professionals accepted DER BUSINESS Travel's invitation to a networking event in Frankfurt last week. At the Hilton Garden Inn Frankfurt City Center Hotel on 7 and 8 November, everything revolved around current business travel topics. The focus was on direct dialogue with the speakers, with interaction expressly encouraged during the presentations.

"At this event, we deliberately focus on direct, immediate dialogue with our service providers - from whom our business travel professionals receive first-hand information," explains host Katja Vortmann, Vice President of DER BUSINESS Travel.

Everything centred on how to create the best possible booking and travel conditions for customers' business trips - and how these can be offered even better and more effectively in cooperation. This was not the only reason why the "mobile" sales partners were joined this time by selected technology providers. Once again there were dialogue partners from the airline industry, above all the Lufthansa Group, plus Air France/KLM, British Airways/lberia, Emirates, Eurowings and Luxair as well as Qatar Airways, Singapore Airlines and TAP Portugal. With Avis, Enterprise and Europcar, the car hire partners were more diversified this time. With Atlatos and MIDOCO, DER BT was also able to attract two long-standing technology partners as speakers.

During the keynote speeches, the travel experts who had travelled to the event always had the opportunity to ask questions or make suggestions from the floor. "So
The service providers were given an unfiltered impression of where things are going well or why things might be going wrong," reports Katja Vortmann. "And on the other hand, our purchasing department can now better assess which services, incentives etc. bring real added value to our business travel agencies or where we should hold further discussions."

After so much product information and business input, the daily raffles, for which the respective speakers of the day had donated attractive prizes, promised to loosen things up. The city walk to the evening location, for which Frankfurter Tourismus+Congress GmbH had provided two competent guides, was also well received. The networking event was rounded off with a joint dinner for all participants and contributors in the Casa de Rose at the Alte Oper.
