With the appointment of Elke Weis as the new Account Manager Franchise, DER BUSINESS Travel is setting a clear focus on expanding and maintaining its franchise partnerships in the business travel market. Elke Weis started in the newly created position on 1 October 2024 and brings with her many years of expertise in the corporate travel segment.
Most recently, the 54-year-old worked as Franchise Manager Corporate Travel at Lufthansa City Center (LCC) since 2016, where she was responsible for national business travel units. Here, she was responsible for building business relationships, analysing market trends and implementing strategic measures. She previously worked for SAS Scandinavian Airlines and FCm Travel Solutions (formerly DER Business Travel). Her focus there was on supporting travel agency chains and corporate customers as well as optimising customer relationships and contract negotiations.

"Her extensive experience in the management of corporate travel and her many years of collaboration with key industry players will further strengthen DER BUSINESS Travel."
The aim is to further intensify cooperation with franchise partners and jointly develop innovative solutions for the business travel market, emphasises Vortmann. "Elke Weis will play a central role in ensuring our quality standards and at the same time opening up new opportunities in the market. We are very much looking forward to working together."
