Plane gone - and now?

Dear business travellers,

I'm sure you all know the golden rule: "Be at the counter in good time, but at least 2 hours before departure!" But what do we do when traffic throws a spanner in the works or finding a parking space becomes a challenge? Delayed feeder trains or meetings that run longer than planned - these situations can happen.

But before you risk a no-show, we have some advice for you:

  • Contact us: If you can foresee that you will miss your flight, do not hesitate to contact your DER Business Travel travel agency. We offer a 24-hour hotline outside business hours. Try to rebook or cancel your flight. It is often cheaper to cancel and rebook.
  • Trip cancellation or rebooking? In any case, clarify with your employer in advance whether the trip still makes sense or should be rebooked. Customers may need to be notified and connecting flights may need to be rescheduled.
  • Travel agency or counter? If you are unable to contact your travel agent at short notice, try to rebook directly with the airline at the counter. Please note, however, that your issuing travel agency will lose control of the ticket and you will have to involve the airline in any future concerns regarding this flight ticket.

But remember: if you are at fault, you are dependent on the goodwill of the airlines.

Our team at DER BUSINESS Travel Reisebüro will be happy to assist you in advance and help you to avoid such unpleasant situations.

Your trip doesn't have to be a nightmare - stay flexible and informed!
